Auto Log Book is a logbook for tracking trips taken by car. In German (and basically you probably only need it in Germany) it goes under the name 'Fahrtenbuch'. And a Fahrtenbuch is a legally recognised document that needs certian bits of information for it be valid. This app collects those bits of information! These include address, purpose, reason and tachometer values. That's it! It does not bake a cake or make you coffee ;-)

Once a few a trips have been recorded and it's tax time (i.e. in Germany, it's up to the owner of a car to prove they used their car mainly for business purposes in order to deduct it from their taxes), you need to get at your trip data. No problem, the application can start a mini HTTP server and you can retrieve your data in form of either CSV, HTML or SQL (or even the original sqlite database!).

The app is in the process of being submitted to the app store, in the meantime, you could always look at the source.
